RetroTech UK
RetroTech UK is a flagship event hosted by the British Vintage Wireless Society, celebrating vintage technology and retro electronics. In the lead-up to the event, I was commissioned to create a series of short promotional videos for social media, aimed at building local interest and encouraging attendance.
Rediscover a retro past!
Filmed on location at the Sports Connexion in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, the videos captured the atmosphere of the event—showcasing stalls, exhibits, and the vibrant retro tech community. The content was released across social platforms for around a month ahead of the event to generate buzz and reach potential visitors in the surrounding area.
Each video was wrapped with bespoke motion graphics using the RetroTech UK branding, ending with a clear and engaging call to action to drive attendance and engagement.
Vertical adaption for social media
To maximise reach and engagement on platforms like Instagram Reels and Facebook Stories, I also created a shortened vertical adaptation of the main video. This mobile-friendly version featured re-framed footage and bold, bespoke motion graphics in line with RetroTech UK branding, ending with a strong call to action tailored for social viewers.
