65 Years of Mini
Celebrating a motoring icon with bold, heritage-inspired design
A mini design
To mark the 65th anniversary of the classic Mini, I was approached by the British Mini Club to design a commemorative logo for their magazine. The brief called for something that captured both the legacy and continued evolution of the Mini, appealing to longtime enthusiasts while feeling fresh and celebratory.
I developed a series of concepts that blended visual elements from both classic and modern Minis, using a red, white, and blue colour palette that proudly referenced the Union Jack. The final logo was used on the cover of the anniversary magazine, serving as a bold centrepiece for the special edition.
Building on the success of the logo, I also created a set of complementary t-shirt designs in the same style—carrying over the colour scheme, visual language, and celebratory tone to create limited-edition merchandise that resonated with the Mini Club’s passionate community.
